TWIN CREEK HUNTING CLUB RULES AND REGULATIONS 2016 – 2017 SEASON
RULES #1 – 9 MAY NOT BE VOTED ON.
- No alcoholic beverages or drugs allowed on club property.
- Anyone who intentionally starts an argument or threatens another member, whether verbally or with a weapon of any kind, will be immediately dismissed.
- If someone breaks a rule, or you have a complaint, report it to a Committee Member immediately.
- Fines for rule violations not specified elsewhere will be handled by the Committee.
- No bad language at the clubhouse while on club property. Violators will be fined.
- A membership is allowed up to 6 does harvested during gun season. With no one under that membership allowed to exceed 3 does each harvested or one per day. Does harvested by guest will not count toward this limit. The violation of this rule will result in a $100.00 fine for the first offence, $200.00 for the second offence, $300 for the third offence and immediate dismissal for the fourth offence. The harvesting of two does in one day by a single person will result in a $300.00 fine.
- No open fires on leased club property.
- Hunt by State Laws unless otherwise restricted by the addition of club rules.
- A member will not be allowed to give another member any of his excess workdays. Any member not completing their mandatory workdays due to emergencies, hardships, etc. may be awarded some or all of their missed days at the discretion of the Committee.
- All roads on club property are neutral to travel, unless otherwise specified on the map in the "Sign In/Out" building. Shooting of a deer or otherwise hunting on a roadway is only allowed within the area signed out as specified in "Hunting Requirements" Rule #3.
- Per membership card, any deer harvested that has less than 6 points or weighs less than 60lbs. will result in a $100.00 fine for the first offence, $200.00 for the second offence, $300.00 for the third offence and immediate dismissal on the fourth offense. This is not individual based, but applies to the entire family/guest hunting under the membership card. The only exception to this will be for the first antlered buck of choice taken by wives or children as allowed in "Hunting Requirements" Rule #6.
Membership Requirements:
- Membership dues are $800 per year to be paid in full between 8:00AM and 10:00AM at a club on the first Saturday of March. Old members may pay by check, cash, or money order. Signing up of potential New Members will begin after 10:00AM with cash or by money order, or by check if vouched for by an existing member. There will be a $35.00 fee on return checks. THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS OR SELLING OF MEMBERSHIPS.
- Applicable Lot, Water and Sewer fees of $150 are to be paid by the first Saturday in March or your spot will be forfeited.
- New members will be on a one (1) year probationary period before being invited to return for another year.
- All members must make four (4) scheduled workdays or pay a $75 per workday fine before being allowed to hunt. Two (2) of the work days should be in the early part of the year (spring/early summer) with the other two (2) being in the latter part of the year (late summer/fall). A list of schedule workdays will be provided to each member at the time dues are paid. Rained out workdays will be rescheduled to the following Saturday. No calling will be done unless special circumstances arise. Cutoff date for workdays will be the 2nd weekend of October. Anyone joining after that date will be required to pay the workday fines in addition to their normal membership dues. All members are responsible for signing their own name and time in and out on a Workday Log Sheet during workdays and having entries initialed by an appointed Time Keeper for the day. A Committee Member or an Officer will be in charge of each work group and has the authority to determine how much of the work performed by each member is of adequate value. A card will be provided to each member on each workday to be initialed by a Committee Member or Officer and shown to the Time Keeper when signing out. Each member will then be responsible for keeping their own cards to be presented as proof of their workdays should any discrepancies arise.
Guest Requirements:
- Guest is defined as anyone NOT wife, child, or grandchild of a paying member.
- No guests will be allowed on opening weekend of GUN Season.
- Guests must be properly signed in on the posted "Guest Sign In" sheet, and be provided a Guest Card which must be signed to be accepted by the Game Warden. Any member caught not properly signing in a guest will be subject to dismissal.
- A guest will be allowed to hunt four (4) days a year during Deer Season at $35 per full day $20.00 for half day, with two (2) days a year during Turkey Season at $35 per full day $20.00 for half day. A guest may harvest one doe per person per day to a limit of two doe during the gun season.
- All guests must be accompanied by a member, and that member is responsible for their guests actions, conduct, fees and fines occurred during their visit. A member may have two (2) guests per day.
Hunting Requirements:
- Wives of members may hunt on their husband’s card even in his absence. A member’s children or grandchildren eighteen (18) years old or younger, as long as they are in high school on October 15, 2017, may also hunt on their card. Minors under sixteen (16) years of age must be under the supervision of a parent or guardian at all times while hunting on club property.They must hunt within the area signed out by their parent or guardian. Children or Grandchildren who have not completed the Hunter’s Education course must be within arm’s reach of the parent or guardian while hunting on club property.
- Sign Out time for Deer and Turkey season is 4:30 AM.
- Each member and guest can sign out a forty (40) acre block during Bow Season and Gun Season for deer hunting. The forty acres cannot take up portions of more than two adjacent forty acre squares. Each member can sign out an eighty (80) acre block during Turkey Season. The 80 acres must be contiguous, and any guests must hunt in this block with the member. All sign-outs must be done in person. Wives of members must be here when signed out. Any member not completing all the information on the hunting "Sign Out Sheets" for themselves and their guest will be fined or subject to dismissal. No scouting can be done without being properly signed out.
- During Bow Season, any doe over sixty (60) pounds may be harvested by a member, a member’s wife, child or grandchild, or a paying guest at a limit of one per person per day, and will not count against the "doe limit" until muzzleloader/gun season begins.
- A member may not let another member take any of their allowable Does.
- A "6-Point Rule" WILL APPLY TO ALL MEMBERS (THEIR WIVES AND CHILDREN) AND GUESTS DURING BOW/GUN SEASON. A point is considered to be 1” or longer off the beam, to be measured by an Officer or Committee Member. Wives and children are allowed an antlered buck of choice for their first buck of this gun season, but then must abide by the “6 point” rule. In hunting by state law, a person may not take more than 3 bucks per season or more than 1 buck per day. The violation of this rule will result in a $100.00 fine for the first offence, $200.00 for the second offence, $300.00 for the third offence and immediate dismissal for the fourth offence. The harvesting of two bucks in one day by a single person will result in a $300.00 fine.
- No does will be harvested from the "Triangle" section of the property during bow/gun season.
- Each member is responsible for weighing and recording on the "Kill Chart" information on any game killed by the member or their guest. Each member is also responsible for hauling the guts and scraps to the gut will and cleaning up any areas involved before leaving club property. Any deer harvested should not be left in the cooler when you leave to go home. There will be a $50.00 fine for not following this rule.
- To verify horn and weight requirements, the deer in question must be witnessed by an Officer of Committee Member before leaving club property.
- Shooting houses on green fields are neutral. Permission must be obtained from the owner of any type of stand anywhere on the property, or a personal shooting house (i.e. not on a green field), before being hunted from by another member or guest. Names must be on all stands and personal shooting houses or they will be considered neutral. Ground Blinds, on a green field with a shooting house, must be removed before opening day of gun season or will be removed by the committee.
- Property will be open to Squirrel Hunting from opening day of squirrel season until October 14th. Raccoons can be hunted during the months of September and February only. Squirrels, quail and rabbits can be hunted during the month of February only. Guests may hunt during these times at no cost, but they must be accompanied by a member.
- Daytime hog hunting may be done all year. Nighttime hog hunting and baiting will be allowed from May 1st through Sept. 28th. A member may only sign out 40 acres. Sign out as normal, with the addition of an “H” in your square.
- Supplemental feeding of deer during the off season (February and May through September 15th) will be allowed by any member. Loose feed/corn may be scattered anywhere except green fields. Feeders are not allowed on green fields. All Feeders must have the owners name on them or they will become club property.
- Vehicles are to be on roads only. No vehicles are to be driven off gravel or designated roads, except 4-wheelers may be used on fire breaks. No driving around gates or turning around in green fields. First offense will be $25.00; Second offense will be $50.00.
- Lock all gates behind you when entering or leaving club property or pay a fine of $25.00. All numbers should be randomly rolled when re-locking.
- Fines for littering on club property: First offense will be $25.00; Second offense will be $50.00. Areas of litter should be reported to a Committee Member.
- Any Money owed to the club must be paid to an Officer or Committee Member before the member or anyone under their card may hunt again. All fines must be paid before your membership is renewed.
- No shooting of firearms allowed at club site.
- A Financial Committee will be comprised of the Officers and Committee. They will make decisions on non-typical purchases not related to the daily operation and maintenance of the club.
